About The Artist

“Image logic is more important than object logic”
Annina Fründ (née kARsT) was born and grew up in Stuttgart. After graduating from high school in 2010 with a major in art under Ulrich Zeh, Annina studied art under Prof. Dr. Monika Miller, Prof. Dr. Hubert Sofa and Dr. Thomas Bickelhaupt at the University of Education in Ludwigsburg.
Since 2015, Annina kARsT has been working as a freelance artist alongside her job as a teacher. Painting has been her great passion for years and is part of her daily work. She loves working with colors, shapes, bodies and faces.
Inspired by her everyday life, encounters and thoughts, she creates expressive, colorful and emotionally charged works. For the majority of her paintings, she uses acrylic and gouache paint, as well as acrylic spray. Her watercolors are also a constant companion.
